Using the Online Metronome
Mobile-Friendly Version
Metronome is a free music app that turns Android device into a functional metronome for musicians. It produces metric ticks that helps musicians in maintaining a consistent tempo while playing music. Metronome for Android provides an accurate metronome, which includes A440 tuning note, a guide circle of tempo from Largo to Prestissimo.Musicians won’t need to purchase a separate metronome. A metronome produces an audible noise—often referred to as a click or a beat—at regular intervals that the user can set. Metronome time is kept in beats per minute (BPM). A metronome is a practice tool to assist you in playing rhythms more accurately. My Metronome keeps a consistent tempo from 10 beats per minute all the way up to 300, playing for five minutes before automatically repeating. You can control the volume and stop or start the beat using the usual Alexa commands for any music stream. Alexa, start My Metronome and 80 beats per minute. Alexa, ask My Metronome to play 90 bpm. 7Metronome is probably the most versatile free metronome app for android devices. The intuitive multi-touch user interface makes the metronome amazingly easy and fun to use. Build complex rhythms by touching, dragging, pinching or zooming. You may notice some of the user interface is simplified, but all of the functionality is there.
Start and Stop the Metronome
[Desktop] Press the center to start the metronome.
[Desktop] To stop the metronome, press the center again.
[Mobile] Click the RUN button.
[Mobile] Click the same button labeled STOP.
Long Loops
The metronome controls YouTube clips. The default clip is 3 minutes long. If you'd like 12 minute clips, select the Use Long Loops option.
If you use the programmable metronome and choose a length greater than 3 minutes, the longer loop is chosen automatically.
Selecting/Adjusting Metronome Tempo
[Mobile] The four buttons above the RUN button add or subtract BPM from the tempo.

[Desktop] The desktop/large tablet view has many quick ways to get to the tempo you like. Premiere pro guru: professional trimming.
1) Click the tempo dots arranged around the outside of the metronome. Multiples of 10 are grey.
2) Click inside the quadrants of the metronome background circle.
- Upper left: Down 2 BPM
- Upper right: Up 2 BPM
- Lower left: Down 10 BPM
- Lower right: Up 10 BPM

Using the Programmable Metronome
If you are trying to steadily increase speed, try the programmable metronome.
Select how long you want each tempo to run, the BPM increment amount, the start and end BPM.
For example, start at 60 bpm and increase 2 bpm every 2 minutes until 140 bpm is reached.

Click START to generate and run the metronome program.

When the program is running, clicking the metronome or using the keyboard shortcuts will go to the next or previous step in the program.
KNOWN BUG: Currently, the auto-advance feature keeps skipping two intervals instead of one. The next version of the metronome is coming soon and will not have this issue.
